About this listen

Cate Granger is chasing ghosts. The monster shark she once encountered was a remnant of the ancient world – one that had escaped an underwater lair previously sealed off for millions of years. At great cost, Cate and her allies had killed the beast. So, no more ghosts, no more shadows. All gone. Or so Cate thought. A research ship is sound-blasting the deep seabed looking for petroleum signatures. But in doing so they disturb something that has been hiding in the trenches for countless millennia. What Cate thought was dead rises from the cold depths of hell. She, Jack Monroe, a Russian billionaire, and her team of marine biologists are forced once more to enter the abyssal zone of the deepest ocean trenches, to confront a creature from the Earth’s distant past.©2018 Greig Beck (P)2018 Bolinda Publishing Science Fiction Suspense Thriller & Suspense Fiction Military Russia Exciting Ghost Scary

A very riveting story and the author's notes at the end are a real treat Some trite turns of phrase making one roll their eyes but otherwise a compelling story.

Great sequel!

Absolutely fantastic

Most books that have a second one written on the back of the first have no substance and are basically garbage. However this isn't one of them, This is an excellent follow-up to the original and is an excellent story in it's own right.
My utmost congratulations to the author.

An excellent story

I loved the first book, and while I don't think that this follow up is quite as good, it's certainly enjoyable. The dinosaur and shark-obsessed child part of me loves to think that a Megalodon could still exist, in the world, although I'm not convinced that the world could cope! But, as a marine biologist, I have to say that although this is science-fiction, there are still some amazing things out there that we thought were long gone. Grieg always does his research!

The big shark is coming for you...

better if you speed up the listening speed slightly.. otherwise it's very slow narration. l get a bit tired of the 'kill the baddie' theme but overall it's a good listen

Enjoyable but......

Exciting and catchy story and much better that the first book. There are some really fascinating aspects of the story and it nice that the Megalodon shark isn't the only threat in the abyss. Although, it gets a much more terrifying comeback in the end ^.^

Exciting and catchy
