About this listen
When we rewind history to Abraham's era, we encounter people who concocted false superstitions to explain the unexplainable. Powerful kings claimed to be gods, building massive pyramids in an attempt to achieve immortality. Out of this mass of misunderstandings, this collage of confusion, one man emerged. Why, thousands of years later, are we still discussing the faith of this desert nomad? Chuck Swindoll answers that question and many more in this compelling and insightful biography that will inspire your own faith. Respond well to life’s uncertainties. Chuck Swindoll uses the life of Abraham to outline what it means to live with courageous trust in God. You won’t want to miss this remarkable biography about one of the most discussed men of all time.

I was intrigued to learn that, his default fearful reaction, was to lie! It was also amusing to observe that he didn’t learn from his lies immediately! Comforting to know that he was every inch the human being that we are! Also reassuring to know that God has infinite patience with Abraham and therefore will have infinite patience with us too!
God’s promises - His Covenant - was made with Abraham (and us), LOOONG Before Abraham did ANYTHING to earn it... Abraham’s journey towards full obedience to God is a story worth hearing.
(Although I note that no mention is made of his marriage to Hagar - renamed, later on - once Sarah dies and having a further 6 children! That’s a shame)!
Interesting and Informative
