Some, like Chris Weston, choose to travel among the vast winter wastelands between the bastions of civilization. The stories are fairly self-contained in each book and simple but still have enjoyable scenes. The best part of the series is the characters and dialogue. And again, the narration really adds to that, but the recording drops the ball. Overall, I'd recommend the series if you like a lot of sex scenes and decent characters, though be aware things can get repetitive. The plots for Books 2 and 5 are basically the same, except Book 2 is on the run, and Book 5 is in one area.

The author shows neither awareness of the subject; nor consistency (how much noise does a solar powered vehicle make? however much provides some artificial tension)…
