When I heard that Ms. James had managed to again procure the services of the fantastic Adam Gold to perform… because that’s exactly what he does - perform each and every character from the author’s Trials of Fears series - I was thrilled to bits and the anticipatory wait was so worth it. Every single person featured is clearly delineated as previously, and totally recognisable. It was honestly like slipping into a room full of old friends and taking up where one had left off a few months previously. Like wrapping oneself up in a warm blanket and settling down to simply just listen, observe and feel a part of something special.
The boys are all back together for Krew’s Christmas bash. Poor Max… he just has to hang on and go with the flow as his saucy, naughty boy, Krew, manipulates and plans the party to outdo every party ever organised. Krew thinks he has all posts covered - of course he hasn’t… but then that’s just part of the fun
Sit back and enjoy the ride as this fabulous epilogue to one of the best series I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading and listening to unfolds. A Very Merry Krewmas is full of humour and love; a coming together of people who share a common ground and who therefore understand each other completely. This book is not to be missed, but sadly, if you’re reading this and are tempted, you will almost certainly enjoy some of the story - because Krew’s antics ARE hilarious, but it’s necessary to know the background information on all of the characters to understand why they behave the way they do. Highly recommended to Nicky James’ Trials of Fears fans.
