I have always looked forward to a new Lulu Taylor book, ever since her very first, so I was really looking forward to the release of this one. I was not in any way disappointed, in fact I think this is one of her best. The characters are flawed and very real, and the story is cleverly woven, with several different threads running through it. The core of the story is poignant, but the writer brings a resolution at the end without diverting from the deep sadness and futility at the centre of the tale. The narration is absolutely excellent - I couldn’t fault the performance in any way, in fact I couldn’t fault this book, I just hope Lulu Taylor will write another very soon.

I became totally hooked and couldn’t stop listening/reading to this story. I even started thinking about the story and characters when going about my day and then getting very excited knowing it was nearly time to read another chapter!
I thought the narrator was very good although I did have to turn the volume up as she was quite softly spoken at times.
I highly recommend this book.

This might well have been a good book but the narration is dreadful. She speaks in a quiet breathy voice that can't be understood. I hope authors have a say in who narrates their books. Was so disappointed with this one

Oh dear, what a dreadful book. I think it is the first book I have listened to which was made worse by the voice over person. I only read it because it was a book club pick. Not even good enough to disappear into.
