About this listen

He requires a wife. She needs to kill him. All's fair in pursuit of love and revenge.

What's a vampire to do when the fae who made her an orphan is searching for a wife? Make him choose her and end his life on their wedding night, of course.

Brynleigh has been carefully planning this for years. Her plan is simple: date Ryker Waterborn, the Fae Representative's son, make him fall in love with her, and kill him after they say, "I do."

Unfortunately, it will not be that easy. She won't be the only one going after Ryker's hand. Far from it. Two dozen men and women are competing in the choosing, each searching for their perfect partner. The catch? It's a blind selection process, and contestants won't see each other until they have made their choice.

Nothing will stand between Brynleigh and her revenge, not even a competition for love.

A Game of Love and Betrayal is the first book in The Choosing Chronicles, a captivating enemies-to-lovers, new adult contemporary high fantasy romance.

The BETRAYAL!!

Oh my gosh what an incredible book.
Was recommended this one and boy.. I was not disappointed.
I absolutely adored the narrators. They brought the characters to life.
As for the story, I practically inhaled everything, from the lies and betrayal to the love.

AHHH!
So freaking good.

got very boring from the middle of the storyline

it started off really well, with the heroine being interested and wanting revenge on the Fae who killed her family in a storm, she has a backstory about how she became a vampire as the story goes on, she's trained by her maker "Jellyset" awesome name, to kill this Fae and bad guys, so Brynly enters this match making thing to get this Fae (Ryker) and marry him and kill him on there wedding night, now all this sounds exciting and to start with I thought ooo this is gonna be good. I was wrong it was so repetitive and long, the boredom hit just shy of not even halfway through just where the storyline wanted to go was predictable and it just kept going. So I skipped most of it and if I'm honest I couldn't listen to the end I just didn't care about the story or the characters, the spice was mediocre at best. story premise was good but lacking in conviction. The storyline and characters just fizzled out to early for me. The narrators I liked they did a good job. The book should of been half the length with more action suspense and mystery and maybe lean on the new Orleans connection a bit more maybe, sadly this book for me was a pffft fizzle out.
