Mary and Ruth are the best of friends. Ruth leaves their village to work for a year at her relatives farm in the community on the other side of Town. Whilst away Ruth falls in love with a young man at the village, but is unsure if he feels the same way? Mary misses her friend very much and becomes lonesome after her Mother dies in a farming accident.
