This coupling of Author and Narrator is only for North American fans of Regency Romances, because the author doesn’t really know the times and activities that she is writing about, doesn’t know when she’s using anachronisms and doesn’t have an editor who can point out that the English don’t have “Blocks”, we have “Streets”!

Additionally, the Narrator is absolutely ABYSMAL! She’s obviously an American trying to speak as she thinks the English upper classes do. As such, she says EVERY WORD that has a vowel in it, incorrectly! It is most distressing for Brits to listen to! This has been mentioned time and time again with this narrator and the fact that she has been repeatedly used by this and other American authors, confirms that they think that she has a perfect English accent! She doesn’t. It’s the worst.

This title is free on Audible, which is the only reason I have listened to it! (There aren’t many reviews for a reason)!! Only get this if you’re from N America, you’re probably the only people who can tolerate this.
