About this listen

Adam and Luc used to be close. At least they were before Luc distanced himself from Adam at 14, then eventually left home. Adam never got over the sting of betrayal, or the loss of his one-time best friend.

When Luc is invited back home to help get his parents' failing dance school back on track, Adam isn't sure he can cope with having his stepbrother back in his life. Especially when he discovers Luc's decade-old secret.

Luc left home because he was sure no one would understand that he had fallen in love with his stepbrother. Convinced that the years of distance he has put between them will have erased his desire, Luc doesn't hesitate to return home to help the business that means everything to his parents.

Confronted by Adam once more, Luc's past feelings reawaken. But will revealing his true feelings to Adam heal the rift between them, or drive them even further apart?

This novel contains explicit language and sex scenes between stepbrothers.

It's sweet

I bought this as my first ever audio book, I wanted to start out slowly with something sweet.

And this certainly is sweet with a hint of the anxiety thrown in to the mix with the two step-brothers and their parents reaction to the reveal of their relationship.

I halfly wished their initial feud would have lasted longer, with Adam holding on to his anger longer, it would have made more sense. Especially since his brother were part of tormenting him and his best friend along with his bullies.
But it seemed not to have crossed his mind too long after being told he brother did because he loved him.

This one needed a bit more kick to it, yes it have hot scenes and it was sweet but it needed that bit more.
Neil McFarlane's voice is a pleasure to listen to, he narrates the book perfectly and it's recommended to give it a try.

Great Romance

Ballet, romance, family issues, what more do you need in a book.
Colette Davison dances around a sensitive issue and writes it well.
Narrated by Neil in a soft voice that helps the whole book.
Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this book both reading and listening. Would recommend.

Good story, with lots of feels. Good narration.

I've not read the e book, but loved the sound of the story and I like my audible books . I was really impressed with the narration, Mr MacFarlane isn't a narrator I've come across before, but I thought that he did a really good job. l listened to some of this whilst sitting in front of the fire, with a glass of wine, perfect! There is some angst and the story does have some depth, it was well written and quite compelling. There’s plenty of emotion, some angst and lots of feels. A good listen, which I would certainly recommend.

Sweet and sexy!

Now I love Colette’s work and this story has the same care and heart you come to expect from Colette but with a steamy and somewhat ‘taboo’ twist. A stepbrothers love story that just proves you can’t help who you fall in love with! I loved both Adam and Luc and could feel their emotions as they are somewhat forced to reunite. I liked that we got to know them and their lives before we were thrown into their love story and I liked the feelings behind their passion.

Luc has been in love with his sep brother since he was 14 and those feelings are what created the wedge and distance between them. When Luc returns home to help their parents with their struggling dance school, all those feelings come back to the surface and bubble over!

Adam doesn’t know why his brother suddenly started hating him when they were teens but now that Luc is home Adam realizes he’s still angry and resentful towards Luc. When Luc feelings are revealed, at first Adam is repulsed at the thought but his subconscious has other ideas and he realizes he IS attracted to Luc but is it just lust?

I found their chemistry believable and their story sweet and sexy. My only caveat is that the story kept mentioning “my brother” and then correcting to “stepbrother”. I felt that once they accepted their attraction they were partners and no longer “brothers”, so the continuing to refer to it did become a little too “kinky” for me. But other than that it’s a steamy, sexy and sweet stepbrother to lovers romance, with dance! Great narration too!!

Thanks for reading!
