自分自身の幽霊を見たという人が、一人また一人と増えて行く、最初は半信半疑だった主人公もやがて自分自身の幽霊を見ることとなる、その謎を追う彼が最後にたどり着いたのは・・・。ミステリーの要素も加味されたＳＦ的ホラー作品です。
作者、小松左京（こまつさきょう、大阪生まれ、1931年 - 2011年）は日本を代表するＳＦ作家。1961年「地には平和を」でＳＦ作家としてデビュー。「日本沈没」「復活の日」など映画化された長編の名作や、「ゴルディアスの結び目」などの短編小説の名作も多数執筆しています。又、1970年の大阪万博のテーマ館のサブ・プロデューサー、1990年の国際花と緑の博覧会の総合プロデューサーを務めるなど、その才能は多岐にわたりました。©Komatsu Sakyo Library (P)2016 MBS Horror Mystery
