 刀屋の発端からお露新三郎の出会い、平左衛門と孝助、そして新三郎の夢までの二つの話が交錯しいく一席目。一旦下がらずにそのまま続けて、お國と源次郎の殿様暗殺計画、それを聴いた孝助をなんとかしょうとする所は普段はあまり演じられ無い部分です。中入り後の三席目はお馴染みのお札はがしです。伴蔵おみねの夫婦と二人の幽霊の掛け合いですが、私のミスで少し抜けてしまったのが残念なところです。

高座では鳴り物や照明を使って演出してみました。音だけではわかりづらいですがその辺りの雰囲気を感じていただければ幸いです。また言い間違いが多々あるのは面目ございません。

1970年 埼玉県桶川市生まれ。駒沢大学仏教学部禅学科卒業
1994年 三遊亭小遊三に入門、三遊亭遊だちの名で前座修行
1998年 遊だち改め遊馬の名で二ツ目昇進
2008年 真打昇進
2011年 2010年度「国立演芸場花形演芸大賞」銀賞
2014年 平成26年度（第69回）文化庁芸術祭賞大賞
