 あれは、確か小学校低学年。おそらくは、一年か二年生の頃。社会科見学で、近郊の城址のようなところに行った。 季節は、夏が終わって秋が始まろうとしていた。ススキの穂が、そろそろ色づいて、揺れている。青空が広がり、私たちの心は、まだ人生のやっかいな重さを知らずにいた。 あの頃、遠足には、胸を焦がす爆発的な喜びがあった。何しろ、バスに乗ってみんなでどこかに行くということ自体が、人生でほとんど初めて。「一回性」という渦が、生を包んでいたのである。 お昼を食べたのは、手頃な広さの草むら。みんなで座って、おにぎりやウィンナーやらをわいわい騒ぎながら口にするのは、心から楽しかった。 早めに食べ終わったやつらが、そのあたりをふらふらし始めたのだと思う。その広場から少し道を下がったあたりから、大声で叫ぶのが聞こえた。 「クマの穴がある！　クマの穴がある！」 なんだろう。私を含めて、何人かが立ち上がった。「クマの穴がある！」という声を聞いたときに、胸に立ったさざ波を、私は今でもはっきりと覚えている。。(本文より） 茂木健一郎の「樹下の微睡み」はこちらから→http://yakan-hiko.com/mogi.html©Kenichiro Mogi, (P) 2016 Audible, Inc.
