This was a great story, just as good as the many others I’ve listened to about this alien world. I do so love these narrators.

Please ignore the reviews which harp on about consent and inferring abuse because either they didn’t listen to the story properly, they maybe missed bits so it appeared to be something it wasn’t OR they are simply idiots who don’t understand you can’t expect Earth morals to mirror customs of a FICTIONAL ALIEN PLANET. No abuse happened in this story,

Well written and performed and totally captivating….the story holds its interest throughout the whole book

I'm all for women enjoying being mastered by her men and have no problem with a healthy dominant and submissive relationship. what I dislike is her choice to submit to a 'medical exam' (which its far from) being taken away from her and forced on her by those men while she is forcefully strapped naked to a table and held down by them and punished because she resists. all while onlookers she is unaware of watch as she is penatrated with various appliances by a doctor and mates who claim to know exactly what she needs and what's best for her, one of her mates even acknowledges part of the exam is unnecessary but he just wants her to submit to him. submission isn't submission when all choice has been taken away from you. the author tried to make this experience sound sexy and that she enjoyed it because she came and because her mates told her they wouldn't let her be harmed, however it totally missed the mark. what it actually was, was a total disregard for her consent and complete forced coercion. had I been reading some dark romance where CNC or DC is often expected I wouldn't have a problem. however the whole basis of these books is the men never force a female and put her above all else. sadly this scene went totally against that and didn't in my opinion show healthy dominants taking care of their submissive. I've enjoyed all the other books but this spoiled this book for me. the narration on the other hand was great.

absolutely awful. so glad I did not buy this this audio.
Woman sexually and repeatedly assaulted and tortured by men with nothing: no empathy, decency other than ugly faces and their own self obsession with their big d**ks... There was a 10 second piece when the 'heroine' said her piece and I hoped that the 'story would take a more humane route - joke was on the listener. A woman hater's wet fantasy. I am disgusted.

There are some steamy scenes, including a very odd examination (but I didn't read the previous books in this series and it seems they all have a version of this disturbing event). The matching was only done for her primary mate but suddenly a random dude asks to be his second and she is supposed to be perfect for both of them even though she was only matched to one and Niall chose his second on basically a whim....hmmmm. OK, good thing I didn't get this for the story and more for the steamy but even that
was just ok.
