I’m so sad this story is over! I absolutely loved both of these books. This one was a more heartbreaking read compared to the first, especially regarding Amethyst and her trauma..I cried for her multiple times - but then witnessing her heal and become stronger and more powerful in her own right was just so satisfying! I wish it didn’t end here, I could read about these two main Characters in many more books and i really hope she does another one or two 🤞🏻 to catch up with them soon.

I seen another review stating that the first 40 odd chapters go over the end of the first book?? It does NOT, it barely even mentions the ending of the previous book? It’s just mentioned on occasion in conversation where relevant..I’m so confused by that review and it initially put me off this Duet so please don’t listen to that review it’s not even remotely accurate.

Just like the first book- Narration was perfection!! I will definitely reread/listen to both of these again!

I listened to the first book and loved it, like literally stayed up ALL night listening. Then I read the second, and once again DEVOURED this tale. The voice actors were fantastic, like the male voice had me grinning like an idiot I won’t lie. Brilliant. Well done to the author and actors.

I came across book 1 by accident and thought it was really good so much so I couldn’t wait to read book 2 and wow it did not disappoint. Madison’s narration was excellent I really felt all the emotions and when she did the hysterical scenes I got goose bumps 👏👏 Theo did a brilliant job as well his voice of doing crazy murderer and then going straight into caring loving boyfriend was so so good. The books are engaging and very well written covering some very complex and saddening material. thank you Gigi for a truly wonderful duet of books.

This is one of the best audiobooks I have EVER heard!! The books must be awesome to read, I will definitely do that. I will read EVERYTHING you write....your writing is sublime!! ❤️❤️❤️

I was eagerly anticipating this book, and as soon as I realised book 2 had been released on audible, I downloaded and read immediately….
The plus points are Theo and Madison, they are Xero and Amy and no one else could cover these characters the way they do. Theo’s voice has me enthralling, 💯 a dark romance voice!!! Amazing!!

Now the down side, I did not like the beginning of the book, to go over book 1 from when Amy sets the catacombs on fire to me is too much. If there was a huge gap between books I could understand a re cap, but I will break you was only released in September! I think it was a bit of a cop out, and If I am right there where around 45 chapters covering the first book, it may even be more. Yeah, there’s a little more detail but it was totally unnecessary! I actually nearly gave up, but I had confidence in Gigi to give me what I needed from this story, which was closure and closure I got. The story is tied up and finished and I am happy with the ending! I just wish it was all concluded in book 1!
This book is worth listening to, if only for Zephers voice!! It’s got gore, spice and a decent story too.

it's a hard listen in parts of the first half of the book, but it's very well written and the performance of the narrators throughout is excellent and really made the book come to life.

I won't spoil the storyline but it's an excellent conclusion.

The male narrators voice was hot as hell!

The only thing I found a little annoying was the female narrators constant inhale of breath after every sentence got a little grating but overall was excellent.
