Disliked the flashbacks they disrupt the flow of the story. The twist at the end of the book came completely out of the blue did not see it coming. Tears flowed but would have liked to see a better HEA for Rose.

stunning tear jeerking lifetime story

I read this book when it first came out. And it ripped my heart out, stomped it to a million pieces and left it bleeding on the ground. It took me some time to finde it again, to finde me again. I dont think i ever did.
Then i braved myself to listen. It is always more intense to listen. And god dammit Carmen. I love you and your books. But it did it again. even going in prepared. It took me right back to that broken spot again. Nothing is the same after.
So well written, so emotionel, so heartbreaking. But oh so good.

Found this a weird book but in a good sence. The flashbacks broke the flow at some points but still intriging to continue but the plot twist ... didn't see that one coming. Hoping for a sequel, Rose deserves it.

A beautiful, heartwrenching story. Reminder of that life is short and not to waste time. Would have loved to hear more about what happened after the meeting in the end of the book. Loved the narrator ( the male narrator only read one short chapter so I cannot say anything about his performance).
