Het is stuk.

Een paard dat schommelt, op twee houten leggers. Die leggers zijn gebroken, - van het paard losgekomen, door mijn schuld.

Mijn man had dat paard op de kop weten te tikken, Anne, hij heeft er weken naar gezocht, voor zijn neefje, dat morgen jarig is.

Het is geen plastic rommel, nee, hij wou een degelijk houten paard dat met stielkennis is ontworpen en gisteren vond hij op internet eindelijk wat hij zocht, een heel mooi ambachtelijk in elkaar gefikst schommelpaard en hij was zo blij en zijn neefje keek er zo naar uit, naar morgen dus...en toen...en toen maakte ik het paard stuk.

Het was een hengst.

Een schommelhengst dus. In de logeerkamer stond hij, veilig en wel.
