About this listen

Ethan Blackstone has a problem on his hands. He’s broken Brynne's trust, and she’s left him. He's unwilling to live without her and isn’t giving up - he's dead-set on getting his beautiful American girl back.

The passion between them was explosive, but the secrets they hid from each other are dark and chilling, and are powerful enough to destroy their shot at a life together. With political threats now directed at Brynne, Ethan is running out of time and will need to gather all his strength and agility to protect her from the dangers that could take her away from him forever.

Will Ethan be able to save Brynne from a past that keeps her locked in fear? Will he ever feel the warmth of her touch, the solidity of her trust again? This is a lovestruck man who is willing to do whatever it takes to possess the heart of the woman he loves. He'll go to any lengths to protect her. He'll go all in.

Here is the fiery story of what happens when two people surrender to a love so great it can heal the scars of the past and give way to a life of pure, rapturous ecstasy.

I love the Blackstone series by Raine Miller. I have it in ebook & also have signed hard copies so I was really looking forward to listening to this. The narrator has the character of Ethan to a T but when it came to voicing the other characters I cringed when I listened. The men all seem to have “mockney” accents & the female characters made me picture male impersonators in my mind as I listened. In future I think I’ll stick to reading this series - its definitely not one I think I’ll be listening to again

Disappointing

This book ranks second because the story is charming and the performance simply captivating. Passion just oozes from Shane West's voice and all this is made possible by Miller's steaming hot words. A cracking listen.

Shane West is an example of "Good Performance"

Shane East Narrating Ethan Blackstone’s POV all throughout the book? Then I’m ALL IN full stop.

I enjoyed that this book was written in Ethan’s POV, so I understand why he was so attracted, obsessed and protective of his American girl. I fell hard for Ethan after listening to this book, even more so that this was narrated by Shane East. Wonderful narration of the prologue from Grace Grant. Overall this is a pretty good book and can’t wait to start listening to book 3.

I appreciate this is "erotica" but after a while the scenes are of a muchness and without a good story, it just gets boring. It only got exciting in the last chapter and what saved the day was Shane East's excellent narration!

Too tedious for words
